Want to know how often AI cites your site? Google has the answer

The new generative AI report
Google started rolling out a really interesting new feature in Search Console: the Generative AI performance report! And it shows exactly what you'd expect: how many times your site showed up in the AI features of Google Search, like AI Overviews and AI Mode 🤩
Here's what you'll be able to see:
- How many organic impressions you got in generative AI features
- Which pages are showing up the most (or the least)
- Where those impressions come from, by country or device
Where to find it
It's still rolling out gradually, so you might not see it in your Search Console yet, but keep an eye out! If you already have access, it's easy to find: open Search Console, pick your property and, in the side menu, go to Performance > Search results. You'll see a "Generative AI" option there, just click it and you get the impressions dashboard for your pages.
Why it's worth tracking
It's really worth starting to track this now, because traffic coming from AI is only going to grow. And of course, as soon as it's available to everyone, we'll bring this data straight into the Automarticles reports dashboard! :)
